Hindi is one of the most widely spoken language of South Asian subcontinent and a prominent member of Indo-Aryan family of languages. It happens to be a language that has been considered a window to India and India cultures in many places all over the world. Though Hindi is not a national language of India, it is many a time considered so. Hindi is part of a group of languages known as less commonly taught languages (LCTL, technically it is sometimes called truly less commonly taught languages) of the United States in the recent years of post-9/11 world where it has been identified as language of critical significance by the Department of Education. |
